The Story of Peace Pole Makers USA
The Beginning
The Peace Pole Project was started in Japan by Masahisa Goi (1916-1980) who dedicated his life to spreading the message "May Peace Prevail on Earth". He saw peace as central to people in the world leading happy and fulfilled lives. These peace poles are now a recognized symbol throughout the world. We strive to assist in the creation of world peace and promote a peaceful existence. Peace Poles can be built upon as many as 8 languages deep of inspiration and deep prayer.
After Mr. Goi authored the message "May Peace Prevail on Earth" it was presented to world peace leaders from after World War II ended with the United Nations assembly. The message traveled across the world in a movement to plant peace poles in their communities across the United States and the world. Peace Poles are now the most widespread international peace monument with more than 250,000 Peace Poles standing in almost every country around the world.

Starting Peace Pole Makers USA
Peace Pole Makers USA was born in 1985 when Jim and Carol Lorenz began Peace Poles on their deck in Northern Michigan. They officially incorporated in 2001 and moved it to Maple City Michigan where they continued the tradition of handcrafting unique and personalized Peace Poles. Jim and Carol traveled the world spreading Peace through their Peace Poles, over 7000+ were supplied from around the world, all proclaiming the message May Peace Prevail on Earth.
Jim and Sue Continue the Legacy
While on a trip to Northern Michigan in 2021 to pick up their Peace Pole Jim and Sue were handed the keys and torch of the 36-year-old Peace Pole Makers USA. Due to illness that left Jim and Carol unable to continue their lifelong passion of creating Peace Poles. Peace Pole Makers USA created their new home in 2021 in Jim and Sue's hometown of St. Louis, Missouri.
